Welcome to Synthulator
Synthulator is a music sequencer and synthesizer for Android phones. It is in the early stages of development, but you can find it on Android Market already! Once you've got it, read the Quick Start tutorial to learn how to make it go beep. Synthulator for ArchosI'm pleased to announce that Archos AppsLib users can now use a specially-crafted Synthulator with their Series 5 Android device. The new version takes advantage of its big ol' screen and has onscreen controls. It also supports grouping and editing drums as a kit (currently fixed at one kit). That was bothering me no end.
Synthulator updates, Droidcons, Twitter
Synthulator v0.23 releasedYay! A look-and-feel update! You can now use the menu buttons and whatnot to carry yourself around the app. I hope it is easier to use, let me know how you find it. Thanks to AKA and ChewyChompy for their suggestions! The help page has lost all its nice images, alas. Later on this week I'll try to update it to be a little less terse. Sorry the updates are a little thin on the ground at the moment. Hopefully sometime soon I'll be able to grab a day or two to put in some more Awesome. Love and peace and all that, Alex
Synthulator v0.22 and CMT Analogue Synth releasedThere's been a bit of a delay between updates, and this has been due to the masses of other things going on at the same time as writing Synthulator. Fortunately, I seem to have survived the worst of it and am back writing synthesizers. Look! There's an analogue synth on Market! And its source code is available here! As well as compatibility with LADSPA, I've done my best to get rid of the load/save bug, and fixed the sample tuning somewhat.
Synthulator v0.21 releasedThis is a trivial bugfix release, caused by some simple errors made when uploading v0.2. It no longer crashes quite so much!
Synthulator v0.2 released (says 1.0 in Market but I'll fix that...)Yay! It's finally out there, though it's full of bugs. You can make nifty wee riffs and loops though, and that's something. To get up and running, go to the Market app on your Android phone and do a search for Synthulator. There should only be one result, Glastonbridge = us :) For a quick-start guide, go to the quick-start page and do that wee tutorial there. Top tips for avoiding crashes at the moment: if you've just re-loaded a saved song, hold your breath and count to 20 before pressing the play button.
Synthulator homepage set upIt didn't take as long as I thought. Now, back to writing the actual Synthulator...
